Every role is a full-time job with RosettaCloud, a company registered in Egypt, with social insurance as Egyptian law requires; remote from Egypt; you join a US client's engineering team and work part of your day in US hours; daily work in English.
Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps)
RosettaCloud is looking for an infrastructure engineer to work inside a US client's engineering team, on the platforms their software is built, tested, and run on.
What you'll do
- Run and improve Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure in production.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Troubleshoot networks, services, and releases, and keep the platform observable.
What you bring
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure work on production systems.
- Linux administration and networking (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, TLS).
- Containers and Kubernetes; Terraform; a CI/CD system (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
- Scripting in Python or Bash.
- Working English, written and spoken.
Nice to have: AWS or Azure; Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK; Ansible; build infrastructure for embedded or automotive software; security hardening and secrets management.
Backend Engineer
RosettaCloud is looking for a backend engineer to work inside a US client's engineering team. The work is mostly back end, with front-end testing for an Angular application.
What you'll do
- Build and run back-end services and REST APIs in production.
- Design schemas and migrations for relational databases.
- Write automated tests, including Playwright tests for the Angular front end, and review code.
What you bring
- 5+ years building and running back-end services in production.
- One of Java, Python, Node.js, or .NET, with its main framework; REST APIs.
- SQL, schema design, and migrations.
- Unit and integration testing; Git and CI/CD.
- Working English, written and spoken.
Nice to have: Playwright and Angular; Docker and Kubernetes; OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect; dashboards and data-heavy internal tools; automotive or embedded tooling.
BSP Embedded Linux Engineer
RosettaCloud is looking for an embedded Linux engineer to work on board support packages inside a US client's engineering team.
What you'll do
- Bring up and maintain embedded Linux on production hardware.
- Work on the kernel, device drivers, device tree, and bootloader.
- Build and maintain Yocto or Buildroot images and toolchains.
What you bring
- 4+ years of embedded Linux BSP work on production hardware.
- Linux kernel and device drivers in C; device tree.
- U-Boot and the boot flow from reset to user space.
- Yocto or Buildroot; cross-compilation toolchains.
- Hardware bring-up and debugging (JTAG, serial console, logic analyser, oscilloscope).
- Git and code review; working English, written and spoken.
Nice to have: automotive SoCs (Qualcomm, NXP i.MX, Renesas R-Car, TI Jacinto); hypervisors (QNX, Xen, Android Automotive); secure boot and OTA updates; CAN and automotive Ethernet; ASPICE and ISO 26262 awareness.
